THANK YOU COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS!

We want to thank everyone who served on the Community Advisory Committee for the State Street Transit and Traffic Operational Plan, a comprehensive study of how transit and traffic can be improved along the State Street corridor between downtown Boise and State Highway 16. This 12-month study builds upon the transit vision established from the State Street Corridor Strategic Plan Study in 2004.

Along with identifying needs and improvements for this corridor, the State Street Transit and Traffic Operational Plan will develop an implementation plan for how to best meet those needs. The study will be a collaborative process that will involve the City of Boise, City of Eagle, City of Garden City, Ada County Highway District, Valley Regional Transit, Idaho Transportation Department and Community Planning Association.

State Street is a vital link between several communities and jurisdictions and ensuring its long-term viability is essential to the future development of the Treasure Valley’s economic potential, support for transit, and livability of the corridor.

Community Advisory Committee members you will have the opportunity helped us identify strategies to improve transit performance and traffic operations along the State Street corridor, as well as identify locations for future transit-oriented development patterns. Members' contributions were used to help establish local and regional goals for a long-term transportation plan that will form the basis for future projects on this corridor.

The responsibilities of committee membership included the following:
