State Street is a major transit corridor in Boise. Valley Regional Transit (VRT) is evaluating pathway options to improve transit services on State Street between Whitewater Park Boulevard and Main Street Station and is seeking public comment through an online survey.
This alternative analysis is needed to determine which pathway is best suited to meet the “Best in Class” corridor service identified by the City of Boise, and to reduce traffic conflicts between transit and personal vehicles.
“The public’s input on these alternatives will help transit get more people where they need to go faster and more reliably.” said Stephen Hunt, VRT Development Director.
The three options under consideration are:
The State Street Alternative is the current 9 State Street routing. Selecting a path between Whitewater Park Boulevard and downtown Boise will require balancing tradeoffs between travel time, destinations served, and impacts to other users.
