Vanpool

A vanpool is a ridesharing option with 5+ riders commuting to work on a similar route and schedule. It’s larger than a private carpool, but generally smaller than a city bus. To access this service locally, check out Club Red through Commuteride. One fare will cover the costs of the van, maintenance, gas, and insurance.

Vanpool Options in the Treasure Valley

Why take a vanpool? It’s a sustainable, healthy, relaxing, and financially responsible alternative to the demands of personally driving yourself to work every day. ACHD Commuteride operates Club Red, the vanpool option for the Treasure Valley. You always have a ride home if you get sick, have an emergency, or just need to stay later than normal at the office. Learn more about the Emergency Ride Home service, including who is eligible, how to qualify, and how to request an emergency ride home.

There are routes in Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Emmett, Kuna, Melba, Meridian, Mountain Home, Ontario, and Nampa. Route start and quit times will vary, so refer to the frequently updated Commuteride website.

Each new Club Red member, and those who haven’t been a member in one year, can receive the first month for free!
