Main Street Station bus routes return to normal as Capitol construction wraps up
After nearly a year of detours and adjustments, most of Capitol Boulevard is now open in downtown Boise. Starting Wednesday, October 22, several VRT bus routes are returning to their regular paths in the downtown area.
While the roadway improvements on Capitol will help our buses navigate the area, road closures significantly impact how buses move through the city. Thank you to all riders who stuck with us throughout these detours. We understand the impacts that reroutes have on passengers, and your flexibility helps keep transit moving even when the road ahead changes.
What’s Changing
With Capitol Boulevard reopening, routes 2, 3, 4, 5, and 29 will resume their regular paths and pick up at most of their regular stops starting Wednesday, October 22.
Also effective on the 22nd, routes 2 and 4 are switching places at Main Street Station to facilitate better connections. Route 2 will now head inside to serve the Lower Deck, while Route 4 will serve the Upper Deck outside.

Route 2 shifts back to its regular route Wednesday, October 22nd, and will now stop inside at the Lower Deck of Main Street Station!
Route 3 Vista
Route 3 shifts back to its regular route Wednesday, October 22nd, with some additional bus stop modifications!
