Holiday Service

VRT operates a holiday service schedule on major holidays throughout the year. Holiday service schedules can be found below or with Customer Service. Riders will also be notified with rider alerts through ETA SPOT and Umo, individual route pages, and information onboard.

*VRT will be offering a limited number of Access rides on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day from 9 AM – 12 PM and 3 – 6 PM. Rides will be booked on a first come, first served basis until all seats are filled. Passengers can request rides by calling Customer Service. 

  • Thanksgiving reservations will begin Monday, November 2, 2026, and end Friday, November 13, 2026, or once we reach capacity. 
  • Christmas reservations will begin Monday, November 30, 2026, and end Friday, December 11, 2026, or once we reach capacity. 

Reduced service holiday schedules

VRT runs reduced service on select holidays on routes 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 20, and 29. Route brochures for these routes are linked below, which indicate reduced service schedules.
