Volunteer Driver Program

The Volunteer Driver program provides safe and reliable transportation to and from essential services — places like medical facilities, social services, nutrition sites, etc.

How it Works

The Volunteer Driver Program operates in both Ada County and Canyon County. Rides can be scheduled for any time of day but must be requested at least two business days prior to the day the ride is needed. Call VRT Customer Service at 208-345-7433 to schedule a ride.

  • Hours of operation: Rides may be requested at any time but are subject to the availability of drivers.
  • Cost: $5 per 12-mile segment and $0.50 per additional mile.
  • Volunteer Driver rides can take up to 4 passengers per trip at no extra cost
