Score a zero-fare ride to Boise State Football with VRT’s Game Day Bus

Service kicks off at the Broncos’ home opener this Friday

VRT’s Game Day Bus is back in action for Boise State football, offering fans, visitors, and downtown businesses a zero-fare and convenient way to get to and from Albertsons Stadium for home games this season.

Game Day Bus loops through downtown Boise with 11 designated stops, connecting Main Street Station, downtown parking garages, and popular destinations directly to the stadium. The service runs during every Boise State home game, beginning two hours before kickoff and continuing one hour after the game ends, with buses scheduled to arrive every 15 minutes.

Game Day at a Glance
  • COST: Zero-fare
  • SCHEDULE: Buses run 2 hours before kickoff + 1 hour after the game ends
  • STOPS: 11 downtown locations + Albertsons Stadium
  • FREQUENCY: Estimated every 15 minutes, depending on rider load and traffic
  • TRACK YOUR RIDE: Use the ETA Spot app or visit ridevrt.org/GDB to watch your bus in real time

Game Day Bus is part of VRT’s growing portfolio of event-based transit options. These supplemental services are supported through VRT’s annual operations budget, which is made up of a combination of fare revenue, advertising, contributions from local cities and institutions, and federal grants. By providing reliable transportation to community events, supplemental services help reduce congestion, increase awareness of VRT’s system, and offer the public more opportunities to experience transit.

Rider Tips
  • BOARDING: Zero fare, just hop on! All doors will open for boarding
  • PRE-GAME: Buses will stop at Game Day Bus stops where fans are waiting, then continue to the stadium
  • POST-GAME: Buses will stop at every Game Day Bus stop automatically (no need to pull the cord)
