VRT is making it easier to celebrate New Year’s Eve in downtown Boise with late-night bus service on Route 7 Fairview, offering a safe, convenient alternative to driving and parking during one of the busiest nights of the year.
On Wednesday, December 31, Route 7 will operate every 15 minutes from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, providing frequent service to and from downtown Boise, including access to New Year’s Eve festivities and the Idaho® Potato Drop.
Riders can take advantage of free parking at the Boise Towne Square Mall Park & Ride, where they park once and ride the 7 Fairview to VRT’s downtown hub at Main Street Station. The service helps reduce congestion in the city core while offering a stress-free travel option for event-goers.
Bus fares are affordable and simple: a $2.50 adult all-day pass provides unlimited rides throughout the night. Riders can purchase fares and plan their trip using the Umo Mobility app. First-time riders can use promo code VRT-7WKV-JN7V in the Umo app when signing up for a free day pass. All bus routes, including Route 7, will be operating reduced holiday service schedules throughout the day.
VRT’s enhanced New Year’s Eve service supports safe celebrations and provides a convenient option for residents and visitors alike to ring in the new year.
