Remember to…
  • Go to your bus stop before your bus is scheduled to arrive. It’s best to arrive a few minutes early!
  • Check the bus route number and stop ID on the sign to make sure you’re in the right spot (for example, AB209). Let us know if you have questions about your stop — the bus stop ID could come in handy!
PRO TIP: Get to know the system! Enter your address or bus stop ID to see in our Interactive System Map to see what’s nearby.

Your ride has arrived!
  • Hop on the bus. When your bus arrives, give the driver a wave to let them know you want to ride.
  • Have your pass ready. As you board, tap your card or scan your code on the Umo reader.
  • Enjoy the ride. Grab a seat and have a good trip! Audio and visual announcements will let you know upcoming stops. Plus, VRT buses have free wi-fi onboard!
  • Be on your way. When the bus approaches your stop, pull the yellow cord to let the driver know you want to get off. When the bus comes to a stop, exit through the back door to let other passengers board through the front.
Remember to…
  • Follow the rules of riding and be respectful to drivers and other riders
  • Bike + Ride if it works for your trip. Just use the bike rack on the front of the bus!
  • Only bring a drink if it has a sealed lid. Otherwise? No food or drink please!
PRO TIP: Check the digital sign on the front of the bus to make sure it’s your route (some bus stops serve more than one route).
