Caldwell City Council votes down new bus routes, maintains current service

On Tuesday, April 2nd, the Caldwell City Council voted between resolutions to approve VRT funding, ultimately approving funds to maintain current service. This amount does not include previously approved routes 56 and 58.

“To say we’re disheartened would be an understatement,” said VRT’s CEO, Elaine Clegg. “This decision significantly overlooks the needs of Caldwell’s citizens, including those who voiced their desire for increased service. Nevertheless, we remain committed to serving and aiding Caldwell residents through our existing services, and we eagerly anticipate collaborating with the Council to address the evident demand and enhance services accordingly.”
