VRT celebrates one month of Beyond Access service

VRT is thrilled to announce the successful first month of its new Beyond Access service. Since its launch on January 2, Beyond Access has provided 2,538 rides. This service transforms accessible transportation for the region and has provided connections for many who didn’t have transportation throughout the valley.

“We are delighted by the overwhelmingly positive response to Beyond Access in its first month of operation,” said VRT’s CEO, Elaine Clegg. “The impressive number of rides demonstrates the immediate impact this service has on the lives of our community members. We are committed to fostering accessibility in transportation, and Beyond Access is a testament to that commitment.”

Beyond Access provides no-cost, door-to-door transportation for adults aged 60+ and persons with disabilities. Service is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and covers a service zone containing most of Ada and Canyon counties.
