Route 40 - Starting Monday 8/31 - Leaving Downtown Boise to Caldwell will be on detour. Following stops will be closed: Idaho / 13th & Idaho / 27th
The stop on Latah and Alpine towards MSS is closed for construction and temp stop placed near side.
Route 28 is on small detour at Frank Church High School; the bus will be taking right onto Salt Creek from Pro Tech, servicing the temp stop on Salt Creek, and then taking a right on Trabuco back to regular route.
Route 9 OB stop at State and Ellen's Ferry closed. No temp stop placed.
Route 16: Stops on 1st & Idaho and 1st & Bannock will be closed. Please use the bus stop on Main & 1st.
Valley Regional Transit will conduct a public hearing and open house to receive comments on proposed changes to Nampa and Caldwell transit services.
The proposals are necessary to align service levels with the City of Nampa’s reduced annual contribution to VRT (from $880,000 to less than $500,000 for FY2027).
VRT’s primary objective is to maintain service continuity for riders within the available budget.
A drop-in open house will begin at 3:30 p.m. to allow the public to review the proposed changes and ask questions, followed by a public hearing at 5 p.m. for participants to testify.
VRT is also taking feedback with a survey, which can be found at ridevrt.org/Nampa-Caldwell. The survey will close July 3.
