The stop at Glenwood and Chinden, near the Fairgrounds, has been closed. A temp stop has been placed on the far side of the entrance to the Fairground Parking Lot.

The stop on Latah and Alpine towards MSS is closed for construction and temp stop placed near side.
Route 28 is on small detour at Frank Church High School; the bus will be taking right onto Salt Creek from Pro Tech, servicing the temp stop on Salt Creek, and then taking a right on Trabuco back to regular route.
Outbound route 7 and 8 are on new detour. No stops will be missed.
Due to construction, Route 40 will be on detour starting Thursday August 8, 2026, until Monday October 26, 2026. Detour is, from Main, right on 27th, left on Pleasonton, right on White Water, U-Turn at round-a-bout, Right to Main to regular route.

The Boise Holiday Parade is back to kick off the season with lights, laughter, and community cheer — and Valley Regional Transit will be rolling right along!
VRT is proud to have a bus featured in this year’s parade, celebrating the spirit of connection that keeps our community moving. Watch for our decorated bus as it joins a festive lineup of local bands, floats, and performers spreading holiday joy through the heart of downtown Boise.
Bundle up, bring your friends and family, and wave hello as we parade through downtown!
VRT will be showcasing our 250 American-wrapped bus, a crowd favorite that honors our nation's history while highlighting the important role public transportation plays in connecting communities throughout the Treasure Valley. Community members are encouraged to watch for the bus along the parade route and give a wave as we help celebrate this beloved annual event.
