Starting on Monday the August 31st, Route 8 towards Discovery & Chinden will detour around construction. The following stops will be closed: AB427 Idaho & 15th, AB433 Main & 17th, AB435 Main & 23rd, AB436 Main & 27th. Temporary stops will be placed at 13th & Idaho. Riders can use Lyft code "MAINCONSTX" to get to or from the bus stop at Idaho & 13th.

The stop on Latah and Alpine towards MSS for route 4 is closed for construction and temp stop placed near side.
Inbound route 9 stop on State and 11th is closed, temporary stop placed at State and 12th near side.
Route 28 is on small detour at Frank Church High School; the bus will be taking right onto Salt Creek from Pro Tech, servicing the temp stop on Salt Creek, and then taking a right on Trabuco back to regular route.
VRT is implementing a series of service adjustments effective June 2, 2025, to improve reliability and reflect rider feedback. These adjustments encompass schedule modifications, route realignments, and stop updates across the Treasure Valley.
To better reflect actual travel times and improve reliability, VRT is adjusting the arrival times at several major stops. While the departure times from initial stops remain unchanged, intermediate stop times will be updated.

Route 8 is getting simpler and more consistent! It will maintain a consistent route throughout the day, eliminating the previous afternoon directional change. The route will now serve stops on Discovery Way before proceeding to the State of Idaho Campus, designated as the major stop in the area. Consequently, several stops will be closed, with alternative stops provided for each:

Route 10 will serve more riders with an extended final trip. During the last trip of the day, Route 10 will extend beyond State & Ellens Ferry to reach Collister and Johns Landing NWC. This extension allows riders to complete the loop from State Street to Collister. Additional stops served include:
In response to rider feedback, the final major stop on State Street will be renamed from “Gary & Bunch” to “State & Gary” to better align with major roadways.
