Due to a long-term construction project on Main Street, Routes 7, 8, and 40 will be on detour starting Monday Aug 3, 2026. Several stops will be closed. To stay up to date on road closures, visit https://www.achdidaho.org/my-commute/roadwork-in-the-area. A temporary stop will be placed on northwest corner of Fairview and Orchard for Route 7.

Due to construction, Route 40 will be on detour starting Monday August 3, 2026, until Monday October 26, 2026. Detour is, from Idaho, left on 13th, right on Front to Connector/ I-84 West, exit at Meridian. Stops closed, Idaho and 13th and Main and 27th. No temp stops placed.

Valley Regional Transit releases final bus network redesign proposal for public comment

On August 7, the Valley Regional Transit (VRT) Board of Directors released the final Better Bus Routes proposal – the agency’s bus network redesign – for public comment. Staff will analyze feedback and make final changes to the proposal, and VRT’s Board of Directors will vote on the proposal October 2. The agency plans to implement service changes by summer 2024.
